Woman-about-town Scarlett Johansson has signed on for two new roles: The first is in Prestige, directed by Christopher Nolan, in which she’ll star as a nineteenth-century magician’s assistant opposite Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale; the second is in Napoleon and Betsy, in which she’ll play a young British woman with whom the exiled French emperor falls in love. . . . Prince has made a deal with Universal to release 3121, his follow-up effort to last year’s Musicology, in late 2006. . . . Bret Easton Ellis has sold the film rights for his most recent novel, Lunar Park, making it his fifth book (out of six) to be adapted for the big screen. . . . Leonardo DiCaprio is working on a feature-length documentary about global warming that he’ll write and narrate; production is already under way in California and will be coming to New York. . . . Comedian Donal Logue will star in an ABC comedy tentatively titled I Want to Rob Jeff Goldblum, in which a group of working-class New Yorkers scheme against the titular celebrity. (Goldblum has not yet agreed to participate.)
